Sunday, March 19th. We went to the 8th Anniversary Celebration at Mansiones. We saw a video showing selection, construction and completion of the church. Even though the service was in Spanish, the words were on the big screen so we could sing with them and we were all recognized and introduced--and went on to Vacation Bible School (VBS), where we visited four different countries around the world. As you can surmise, one of the countries was China where the kreative kids made panda masks. The picture shows their handiwork.

The team had lunch at Rosti Pollo and met the rest of the team at Syr Y Sry Wood Factory. Even though the wood factory is only a few kilometers from the San Jose Airport, the first taxi drive stopped at two convenience stores for direction, asked a policeman, drove through a rodeo, finally gave up in frustration and drive the folks back to the airport where they got another orange mini bus cab. The 45 minute detour meant the travellers from the airport arrived at the wood factory at exactly the same as the rest of the team. We all decided it was divine intervention. Dinner was at La Princessa--Hint Hint--if you order a "small green salad" (ensalada verde) don't order anything else-- it comes on a plate the size of a platter. A tired bunch retired to the Seminaro Methodista for card games, conversation and sleep.
